About Me
Dr. Tawanna Charlton (she/her) is originally from Tallahassee, FL, and proudly represents the first generation of college graduates in her family. She embarked on a remarkable educational journey, starting with a Bachelor’s degree in biology (minor in chemistry) from Florida State University, and then pursued a Master of Medical Science at Hampton University. Currently, as a resident in anesthesiology at Emory University, Tawanna continues to excel in the medical field, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional patient care and medical knowledge. However, her passion extends beyond her own accomplishments, as she actively engages in educational endeavors. In 2021-2022, she served on the MD Medical Student Interview Committee, helping select the next generation of medical professionals.
